The Striped Crochet Hat Pattern Guide.
Hello there! I’ve been wanting to make another Summer Crochet Hat-they’ve been one of my favorite handmade accessories to make lately. Also, wanting to mix and create some color combinations as well, so this design came to be (which would be perfect for a yarn stash project too! Enjoy this super Free crochet hat pattern to make!
MATERIALS
[Used [3 COLORS] Less than HALF of 1* Skein/Ball for ALL SIZES
Yarn: Loops and Threads-”Impeccable”, Red Heart Super Saver Yarn / Medium 4
US H/8 5.00mm Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle / [depending on bead sizing, a thin needle needed as well]

Measuring Tape
Stitch Markers
Gauge:
11 HDC STS [Going Across ] [Width] X 8 HDC/SC STS[Going Down Rounds] = 4 in.

CH [#] Turning Chain initiated
STS= Stitch [es]
SC= Single Crochet
HDC2TOG= Half Crochet 2 STS together [for decrease]
DC= Double Crochet
SL ST= Slip Stitch
RPT =Repeat from asterisk, *follow repeating method from this starting point
STARTING THE PATTERN
Note: Pattern is constructed in rounds, Starting at the base of the hat- then increase to create the hat. May increase more at desired round for personal desired fit.
Green Yarn: RND 1: CH3, Connect last ST to First ST to work 8 HDC STS Total,
Work into the middle of the circle. At the end of the round, SL ST into the starting TCH to continue work.
PINK YARN: RND2: Create 2HDC STS, into every ST around. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
CREAM YARN: RND3: CH1, SC into the 1st ST and into every 2nd ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
GREEN YARN: RND4: CH1, HDC into the following 2 STS and into every 3rd ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
PINK YARN: RND5: CH2, HDC into the following 3 STS and into every 4th ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
CREAM YARN: RND6: CH1, SC into the following 4 STS and into every 5th ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
GREEN YARN: RND7: CH2, HDC into the following 6 STS and into every 7th ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
PINK YARN: RND8: CH2, HDC into the following 7 STS and into every 8th ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
CREAM YARN: RND9: CH1, SC into the following 8 STS and into every 9th ST-Create SC TWO TIMES. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.

CREAM YARN: RND12: CH2, Work 1HDC, into every ST around. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
GREEN YARN: RND13: **Work 1HDC, into the next 5 STS and into every 6th ST, create 1HDC2TOG.......**Repeat from** until the end of the RND. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
PINK YARN: RND14: CH1, Work 1SC, into every ST around. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
CREAM YARN: RND15: CH2, Work 1HDC, into the next ST and into every 2nd ST **Work 2HDC into the same ST....**Repeat from** until the end of the RND. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to continue work.
CREAM YARN: RND16: CH1, Work 1SC, into every ST around. At the end of the round, SL ST to the starting TCH to complete final work. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
