Spooky Season is one of the best seasons of the year! It should come as no surprise that I love a fun theme, and Halloween is the perfect excuse to crochet some fun garments. I have a wide range of interests, so whenever I can include them in my crochet, I grab hold of the opportunity and run away with it.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies ever. The memorable characters, the creepy locations, and the songs put me in the right mood for the season. I made The Nightmare Before Christmas crochet collection, and one of my favorite designs is the Jack Loves Sally sweater featuring the scary couple. It’s orange, and Jack and Sally are split down the middle because their love is stitched together.
Hello Kitty is one of my favorite characters from my childhood. She's so cute and sweet, and it's fun to include her in Halloween designs because the contrast is delightful. I posted a compilation video of some of my favorite designs over the years, and there are memories attached to every one. It feels special to create something I'm so connected to.
Halloween wouldn't be the same without pumpkins and witches, so it made sense to put the two together. The Pumpkin Witch Sweater is perfect for the holiday. It's black and orange with the main design on the front and striped sleeves. When I wear this and hold my crochet hook, it feels like I’m holding a wand.
Pumpkins galore! This jumper dress takes a simple Jack-O-Lantern design and makes it even nicer. It's perfect for a Halloween-themed party, or something to wear when you answer the door for the trick-or-treaters. The beauty of Halloween is that these designs work with so many garments, and thinking outside the box can have exciting results. This jumper dress is one of my favorite pieces!
Happy Handmade Halloween!
