My Favorite Dream Crochet Shorts for the Summer

During the summer, I usually wear skirts, but lately I’ve been wearing shorts more than I usually do. I’m not sure why this change occurred and I think this change just happened naturally over time. I realized that i don’t spotlight shorts as often, so now is the perfect time to do it!

These granny square crochet shorts are too cool for the summer. The aqua shorts are one of my newest creations, and originally, I really hadn’t planned on them. I made them to match with a Dream Duos shirt and I love that it gave me an excuse to use this color. I also incorporated white, yellow, and purple, and these are colors I wouldn't have normally put together, which makes it all unique.

These biker crochet shorts have a more daring design than the standard shorts, which is why I like them. They have a granny square design, and the added length allowed for four of them instead of two. They're high-waisted and hit right above the knee, which gives me a different silhouette to play with, and the rounded hem gives them a softness.

Crochet shorts can seem intimidating for some, so I made a video showing how I make high-waisted biker shorts. I follow the elastic waistband tutorial that's available on the Dream Crochet YouTube Channel, and if you can do that, you can definitely do this. I'm also considering making a top to match, so look out for that!

I love these striped shorts so much and it's mainly because of how complementary the colors are. These cozy shorts are striped and they're in tonal colors of purple. They're so comfortable and cool -plus, they came out even better than I expected,, and that's always a special treat.

These Dream Duos shorts are simple and truly effective. I took an older pair of green shorts that I felt needed sprucing up, and I added dark green crochet to the hem. It's such a quick idea that ended up making a significant difference, and now, I wear them more.
