The Best Crochet Skirts Of Summer 2025
Skirts are one of my favorite things to wear in the summer, so I tend to make a lot of them during this season. It's good for me because that means I have a lot of options to choose from when I'm putting together my outfits, but it can also be stressful during times like these. When there are so many to choose from, it makes it harder to pick which ones stand out, but I've managed to find my favorite Top 3 handmade crochet skirts, that I feel best represent my current style mood.
I feel like I've worn more crochet maxi skirts this summer than ever before, so one had to make it onto this list. I went with this vibrant and multi-colored maxi skirt. It's striped and yet I love how there's an asymmetry to it. The stitching is open at the bottom, which gives it a cool translucent effect that makes it feel breezy.
Since I wear skirts so much, (can’t help it, I love them so much!) I also wanted to experiment with a design I don't normally try, and that's how I came up with this double-crochet ruched skirt. It has a drawstring, and the ruching at the bottom gives it a matching asymmetry. The light and airy colors, along with the curves and loops, gives the skirt a mermaid-like quality. I had to have a Dream Duos represented on this list, and the first one that came to mind was this upcycled denim skirt! The navy, blue, and white, bring out the tones in the denim, and the way it curves it truly adds to the dymanic. It's a classic Summer inspired look reimagined.
What’s cool about these designs is that they inspire me to use elements of them in other projects in the future. Ruching is something I’d like to incorporate more of, and I’d like to experiment more with my upcycling projects and how the yarn connects to the material.
